I have people answer my questions and when I try to talk to them I cannot get through because they do not allow e-mails! What is the point of discussion with me if I can't talk to you?

I agree. Not only that, if you write an answer to their question and they contact you and throw their little insult bomb you can't throw your own. Irritates me but then I think of what a complete moron they are and then I feel better. Not as much as throwing my insult bomb but you can't have everything. I only throw insult bombs if they insult me first. I have to defend myself.

It's question and answers, not let me persuade you site. Ask a question and get feed back from all points of veiws, or go to a chat line and get discussion to persuade others to see your point. Or just keep asking the same question over and over like some on here do.

No, I can see the reason why. Too many use the emails just to slam others. I have had it happen many times. I have never received an email from someone who just wanted to discuss something. Many people on Y/A in politics are too negative.

For sure. The other day this girl sent me some really rude emails and then blocked her email so I can't respond back. People like that is the reason we have such a break down of open dialogue in this country.

I don't allow e-mails for two reasons.
1 - Spam
2 - When I am at work, I cannot access Yahoo e-mail.
I do have a 360 page.

I have never hesitated on other sites. But when they report you just because they don't like your question and considering the fact that too many are still playing childish games......I won't. It is a problem when there are people I really would like to talk to and can't.......but there's too many who just want to cause problems and harrass you. The risk outweighs the benefit.

I would never publish my email address on Y/A.. It's bad enough having to scroll through all the crapola on this board to find an intelligent question, answer or debate. I sure don't want these whackos in my email.

I know what you mean. There is a user on this site that lives really close to me and I wanted to talk to her, but she doesn't allow it. It's funny, because there is a possibility that we've seen each other irl. Now I won't ever know.
