I value the fact that it is actually Jesus Christ's birthday (well, the date celebrated as his birthday). We would not have a Christmas to celebrate if Jesus was not born.
Also, I value the absolute joy and excitement in my childrens' faces on Christmas day and leading up to the day. Their sweet innocence is irreplacable. :o)

They value all the things they love. They value thier friends, family, pets, nature, and even more. If you have a passion for something you will especially value it by christmas!

Christmas is the celebration of Jesus Christ's birth. While we know that he probably wasn't born on December 25, it is the day we recognize and celebrate as the day he came into this world to save us from our sins.

It is a beautiful day to rejoice for all that he has done for us.

The story of St. Nicholas came about because the real St. Nicholas had a neighbor who was so poor, he was going to sell his daughters into prostitution so that they could eat. St. Nicholas felt horrible about that, but was really shy or was concerned he'd embarrass his neighbor. So, he got several gold coins, put them into a sack and threw them down the man's chimney, so he didn't have to sell his daughter's bodies.

So, in thanking Christ for all he's done for us, it is also a wonderful time to do good for others in need.

The craziness of the malls, gifts, materialism has nothing to do with Christmas.

Usually, most people value spending time with family.

And the gifts don't hurt either. LOL.

spending time with family, don't see much of them throughout the year as they are spread throughout the country, and it is the only time that we are all off work at the same time.
