Why do we recognise the death of Christ on Good Friday and celebrate the resurrection on Easter Sunday - surely it would be a different day each year like Christmas day?

It is said by some Anglicans that every Sunday is a little easter. Rather nice that Easter is celebrated on Sunday.
I must say it is odd that Friday is when Christ was supposed to be crucified because he was to have spent three nights in the bowels of the earth. One Theologian speculated that it actually happened on Thursday afternoon. That would make a bit more sense.

Jesus was crucified on a Thursday. Some religions call it Holy Thursday or Maundy Thursday. (Good) Friday was the day the stone was rolled away from the entrance to his grave and it was found empty by Mary Magdalene. Sunday is the day Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. That is Easter Sunday.

Christmas Day is 25 December in the Western Church. This is fixed. The Easter Celebrations are movable feasts - they vary because they are calculated following the sighting of a full moon after the spring equinox of 21 March.

Politically conversing with the intention to be believed Jesus mandatory to be wide-unfold by skill of the known public of the Sanhedrin and the human beings. This did not take place. besides the fact that there replace into some help interior the Sanhedrin it very small. a number of the leaders did not prefer to lose their skill. Others had a distinctive theory of who the Messiah replace into meant to be. With the human beings the help replace into extra advantageous yet not sufficient. Spiritually conversing Jesus did not fulfill each and all of the Messianic Prophecies for the period of his existence time. some Jews will say that he did not fulfill any of the prophecies. this would be a sparkling progression on Yahoo. Over a 365 days in the past maximum would say "all". i will leave it to the reader as to why this transformation in opinion got here approximately.

Something got to do with the death of Jesus which is calculated on the Lunar Year. As for me I do not mind as long as it is the celebration of the great Christian Festival " L'Ghied il- Kbir". Also connected to the Jewish festival of the Passover the Christian Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. If it is changed to an annual event they will not fall on a Thursday and a Friday.

The dates and days for celebrating Holy days are all arbitrary anyway.
And it's a matter on convenience, thats all. Like all aspects of religion, any religion, the supposed dates of 'religious events' are in fact guesses, arrived at by concensus at various Ecumenical Councils. Decisions are made to celebrate given events on a particular calender date, like Christmas, or on a moveable date, like Easter. There are no traceable dates in the so-called holy books.

Because Jesus rose on a Sunday, so the Church decided to celebrate His resurrection on Sunday every year.

The truth is the story of the Virgin Mary, Joseph and Jesus is mythological. This story originates from the mythological story of Osiris, Isis and Heru. There have been many other virgin birth stories before the one of Jesus. In your belief that Jesus is who they say he is, have you ever wondered how Jesus can be God? According to the Bible Jesus said in Matthew 19:17 after being called a "Good Teacher" in Matthew 19:16, Jesus said "Why dost thou call me good, no one is good but One, that is God." They are playing with your mind. It is time for people to do more research and study. The veil of lies are being lifted for all to know the truth. Will I go to hell for saying this? Is there a hell? Probably not, if there is a hell these same people who feed us these erroneous stories for their gain should be first in line. In order to keep the masses in fear the controllers have to tell you there is punishment awaiting us if you do not do right. The problem with this is the right that they are talking about is serving their own purposes. This is a system built on illusions set up to become our reality. My mother died on Wednesday yet her death does not fall on the same day every year. Of course, at some point it will again fall on Wednesday. Does anyone you know who died, death falls on the same day year in and year out? WAKE UP PEOPLE, they are fooling you and laughing at you at the same time and calling you fools. OPEN UP TO TRUTH AND NO ONE WILL HAVE TO ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS FOR YOU. TRUTH IS IN YOU AND ON THE PLANET. Don't stop questioning things that make no sense whatsoever no matter how many people call you nuts. If they are calling you nuts you are on the right track to knowing what is true.
