Ignore him! If it persists, go on to a lot of weird websites that want to send him a lot of junk mail, and give out his e-mail address. Save those e-mails though, b/c if he ever acts on it, you have evidence of probable cause and essentially a pre-emptive admission of guilt all you have to do is show it to the police when you file the report.
Oh, yeah if you know this guys phone number, put it out there, too. Believe or not it's perfectly legal to do that, b/c that is literally how telemarketing agencies get ahold of your number person-to-person word of mouth, and it's all free domain. Just like at this point, it is actually perfectly legal for him to send threats by e-mail to you so long as he doesn't act on it accordingly.

I had this happen to me. I had ended a bad relationship and he did the emails after he could not find where i moved to. i had changed my number numerous times.
You have to alert the police and save all of the email for there reference. Any voice mails you have are helpful also. Even text messages.
After contacting the police and getting there advice.. I am sure they will say that you should file for a restraining order. Do it.
Then anything from there that the person sends can be used to either get them a felony or put in jail.
Good luck.

Keep the e-mail. Let him know someone else will deal with it if he does not stop. Then go to the police.

Change your email address. Then he won't be able to email you no matter how many times he changes and gets a new email account.

You need to make sure you dont delete those emails. Print them out and bring them to a police station. They can charge him and put out a warrant for his arrest.
