What's the significance of celery ? Some joke ?
I don't find throwing stuff at players or on pitch funny.

Fans of Chelsea Football Club have been known to sing a saucy song in which they suggest they might use a "lump of celery" in order to tickle a lady's behind.

Can't believe I know this! There's a football song, I don't know all of it, but there's a bit that goes, "Celery, celery, if she can't come I tickle her bum with a stalk of celery"

Erm how old are everyone on this site chelsea have always had a silly chant about celery and have used it since i can remember (late 70s). Its nothing new .

maybe it's some lame reference to the players wages and throwing money around. celery = salary. maybe???

its to do with soccer am and that numpty tim lovejoy,he wanted them to have blow up sticks of celery at the game!
Its also that the scum are vegetables! so they can identify with them

i havent been watching the match but thats a stupid thing for them to do i know your saying its celery but someone can still get hurt just think if they got a smack in the eye wish they would cope on and grow up watch the match in peace or leave the staduim
