Twice means 2 x
Half means 1/2
Which, they cancel each other out.
Because twice a half is a whole, or 1.

So, one and a half times 1 is 1.5

if you half 1 1/2 you get 3/4 and it you half that you get 3/8 and 3/8 ( three eighths is your answer)
