There was a bag of pot in a used sofa we bought yrs ago. And we had owned it for months before we found it. Our dog kept sniffing at the cushion and we couldnt figure it out till we got to really looking. It was under the part that the cushion sits on top of.*

I was at my friend's house and decided to sit on her love seat When I sat down there was something hard under my leg. I asked her what was wrong with her couch and began to lift up the cushions. She screamed at me to stop but it was too late. I pulled her B.O.B. ( battery operated boyfriend) out of the cushion. Never sat on her couch again.

After seeing all these other answers, what I found isn't so strange, but it is irritating. It's an earring that belongs to the ex-husband's girlfriend. The fact that it's her birthstone is a dead giveaway.
