How can i disable dragging on my laptop's touchpad?

Often when i'm using the touchpad, it accidentally starts dragging things like icons in Windows Explorer, or worse, it drags and misplaces text in Word. I hate this! Is there a way i can disable the drag feature on the touchpad? I haven't seen no such option in the touchpad's settings :-(

Assuming that you'll be using the latest touchpad drivers, and in the settings (Control panel->mouse>Device Settings), in the tapping , there is the Tap and Drag section, uncheck the Lock dragging and Tap again and hold to drag options. that should do it for you.
