Slounds kinda like she may like you but doesn't want to ruin the friendship or maybe, she just looks up to and has respect for you so is looking for someone that treats her like you do. Be flattered man, its a compliment!!!

It seems a very stupid answer. Of course, you are completely different.
But she perhaps doesn't have a very acute sense of character, and just wants a "generic" boyfriend to fulfill a role.
You would surely prefer someone who had a closer understanding of who you are.

Maybe they're are just alike in temperment, likes, and dislikes. Or, maybe she just didn't feel like describing him so she used the easiest comment to think of.

I gues after a few years you made no moves to give her a sign you want her for yourself, so she find some guy who was like you to maybe give her what she needs.

She shows a bit of interest in you but perhaps you all are considered 'used' to each other... Also, her new bf is easy to get along... just like the way she is with you... comfortable.
