I'd like to start a seed business, but don't really know what needs to be done on the legal side. I already have a system in place to produce seed, but what else do I need? What about a business name that no one else has. Where do I look? What is required to be on the packet label? What seed testing needs to be done and how official does it need to be? Thanks for any help.

Really that depens a lot on which country you are in and how you intend to retail your product.
In Aus you would need an ABN [Australian Business Number] at the very least and busines name. Put "registered business name" into the search engine (but restrict the search results to your country) and you will get plenty of info on searching for and registering business names. You will probably also get in the search the names of businesses that can help you establish a domain name/internet trading, new business advice and so on.
I cant offer much more advice as so much really does depend on which country you are in.

Find an attorney that specializes in business setup and transactional law and they will be able to guide you through the process. A lot of areas have an Economic Development Council that porivdes small business eduction or take some classes at your local Community College. Ours here has a two weekend course on starting a small business.
