This brought back the old school days of hockey the way Dave Schultz, Tiger Williams,Larry Playfair, Rob Ray etc use to play along with the bench clearing brawls and goalie fights. Hockey has missed this excitement and I thought it was awesome watching both games between Ottawa and Buffalo. Bring it on and lets see more fisticuffs in hockey! OTTAWA SENATORS SUCK!

Yes...whenever you have rivals like Ottawa and Buffalo, every game is a potential punch-up, and it does bring interest to the game that would be lacking in non-traditional hockey markets...I'm a Sens fan, and we used to hate Toronto more than anything, to the point where the Ottawa fans cheer when the out-of-town scoreboard shows the Leafs losing...but this year Toronto isn't good enough versus Ottawa to bother hating them, so the fierce rivalry is now with Buffalo, and after their series last year in the Cup playoffs (so many one-goal games...AAARGH) Buffalo/Ottawa consistently provide entertaining games...GO Emery GO!

Sadly it was lol. I was sound asleep with the TV on ESPN and heard the words "Goalies fight" I woke up and searched it on youtube and watched it.
Hockey is just better with a fight or ten of them. No casual fan talks to their co-workers and says " did you see that neat goal?" no they say "wow did you see those goalies go at it?"
If the NHL had a guy close to breaking scoring records that would be interesting, but the NHL doesn't have a huge crop of talented scorers line the 80s-90s had at least yet. Perhaps the Defense side of the game is much better now, D-Men and goalies who are better on average.

I don't think it is just the mayhem. This past home and home was two very good teams who have come to hate each other over the last couple seasons.
This is a great example of why 8 divisional games make great rivalries!

yes..it is probally the most intresting thing besides philly sucking, and the foresburg trade. but those are things we can't see. hockey fans don't wnat mayhem they want excitment. and goalie fights..well you can get more exciting than that. i would love to see more of those kinds of game. fighting but also alot of scoring. and it even went into a shooutout. woah...
