Hi guys, please help me out. I just applied for a managing position about 3 days ago. They did not have a phone on an email address. They claimed that the position was "Available Immediately!" SO I applied immediately. Granted I am sure 100s have applied as an opportunity like this comes once every few years, however, I know I was one of the firsts! I also went into the place I am pretty sure is the hiring place and filled out an application. But it has been a few days and no one has called. Shouldn't they be going thru apps quicker since this is a "immediate position?" When should i be getting a call back?

"Immediate" can mean a lot of things, and when it comes to hiring for a critical position, it can mean anything but. Contact them (hopefully, you have a specific point of contact) and let them know you are following up, and needed to ensure that they didn't need anything else from you. You've asked a question that will hopefully force them to actually dig out your application or give you some information about where they are in the process.

It's also possible that they've already made the decision, but have no intention of notifying those who they didn't interview.
