i know he's depressed. he's the quiet type. doesn't talk much. he's dealing with some problems now. he's my friend and i really want to help him. so what's good for him? me leaving him alone with his probs or me bugging him from time to time to check if he's ok which he never is?

oh, and he's not my boyfriend, or my ex-boyfriend or the guy who i want him to be my boyfriend. ok so there.

i know my way of asking is somewhat rude or anything, but i'm stressed out. so, please, help, thanks.

your friend sounds just like me. i'm in that zone at the moment. yes you should leave him alone, not completely, but, as much as possible. seeing if he's ok is a good thing, but, don't be too intrusive, we hate that. just show him that you care, from a distance.

sometimes i'd feel offended if someone ever told me that esp a guy, but he's my friend i'd take his word coz i guess when they say it they mean it. just give him time to breath. you know some people think that they're fine after they take the're time to absorb their problems in life , and if he's the type to talk his way through things he would have told you.
maybe, as he's a quiet person, he doesn't like girls in his face when he's down, you know, seeing him very vulnerable and stuff.
good luck.

When he says "leave me alone", take his word that he means it. If he knows you well and that you are sincere, if and when he is ready to talk, he will.

Trying to make him talk to you when he doesn't want to is invading his privacy and becomes a "control issue."

Think about it ... if he seriously wants your help and feels he can use it, don't you think he'd already be spilling his guts?
