You need a DSL Router. Basically it is a glorified splitter. It takes an Internet connection and splits it so you can run more than one computer on one broadband connection.

Your local computer shop can sell you one. They are a common device nowadays.

The link that I am sending you is for a device that will split your connection 4 times so you could have up to 4 computers run on the one connection.

This device will probable cost you about $60.00 give or take.

Hope that helps

You need to get a router. Since one is a laptop, you should get a wireless router. The DSL connection goes into the router, and the router shared the connection with the computers.

If you just got DSL, then you got a DSL Modem. If the modem has an RJ45 (Ethernet), and an antenna hanging off the back..... then you could run Ethernet to your PC, and get a wireless card for your LAPTOP. If there is no Antenna... you will need a Ethernet Hub in order to send INTERNET to both machines through Ethernet.

You need to purchase a router. You connect the router between the modem and the computer. The routers come with simple to use setup CD's . Your laptop can connect to the wireless access point on the router (assuming your laptop has a builtin in wireless card) Here's a link to a decent one..
