I dont have sky so where can i watch the oscars on normall tv in the uk? for free.

I'ts only on Sky on Sky 1 or Sky 1 HD from midnight for the red carpet and then from 1am on Sky Movies 1 (or sky movies 9 HD) until about 5am. I'm sure there will be recaps in the morning on GMTV and the like but not the whole show.
You might be able to download certain clips from the Oscars own website after the show:

having been told in every news bullitin on the bbc this week that kate whoever was covering the oscars for the bbc, i assumed it would be on bbc 1/2. I was obviously wrong, and will have to suffer watching only clips from tonights show on tomorrows news. I suggest the same for you.

Dish Pay Preveiw or ask local Cable Provider about Times
& listing " go to channel (100) for information ok ?

where it goes...but you need the right software. tvu player or tvants player. just google them for the software
