I know I do. I've lived here my whole life. I've helped many people along the way with english and our ways. But it doesn't seem right that people come from other countries to have what we have and then they bring their trashy ways here. If they want to donate good things that's fine. But if they didn't like it so much where they came from then why bring their garbage here? It doesn't make sense. And now so many people are speaking spanish. What is that about? I feel like I moved and nobody told me. And the fact that they get a cut for real estate is way out of hand. Who are they? Royalty? They should have to bust their butts the same way the whiteys did to get a house. It should not be given. And when they go to the stores they should have to learn english or at least enough to get by. It's not fair to us. I shouldn't have to be the one struggling. I was born here. It's almost as though I live in my house and foreigners are allowed to just come in and talk different and do as they please. We still have to follow the rules but they can do as they please. It's too much. I'm all for accepting different people but they too should have to make sacrifices. Mostly, speak english to where we can understand you, and learn the rules and laws. Nobody handed anything to the whiteys. Why should we hand it to others? If they got rid of welfare you'd see a lot of them leave the states. And yes. I am white.

To begin with, I am not white. I am Asian and a legal immigrant to this country. I however have a lot of discussions about this matter with several Caucasian people and though I wont say that they feel alienated in America, there is a feeling of being treated unfairly or that they are deprived of some things at the workplace, in school, or in certain matters to give way to the minority or so that diversity quotas can be met. I think some of them feel that its no longer an equal playing ground and standards had to be lowered because we have to cater to minorities or those who cant meet the standards. That a lot of funding for say scholarships are also given in priority to the minorties. I personally think that everything should be divided accordingly but with the same set of standards regardless of race, color or gender. Because then we would always grade everything according to ability, effort and worthiness and not because one is not white or white.

This is my opinion, and I honestly don't mean to offend anyone, if I do Im sorry, but it is my opinion, and I would be happy to hear yours. I am tired of all the crime they are commiting over here! I live in Southern AZ, and anytime you turn on the TV it is plastered with all these horible crimes commited by illegal aliens, they are invading our country. I know that our country was formed by imigrants, but these illegals are the ones alienating us. They want everything for free, and make us go without. We have enough poor people here already, lets take care of our own! I think that is is b/c of their actions and mantality that we white people are alienated.
They get our jobs, heath insurance, homes, and so much more, leaving us down, and out, and without. This leaves the white folk a little pi**ed!
I know I am one of those people.
And shouldn't I as a mom be able to throw a huge temper tantrum when I see how this is changing and affecting my daughters life and world around her.
They are making kindergarden a full day now here in AZ, b/c there are so many kids that can't and won't speak english, so they hold up the class. That is the main reson why our schools are so far behind, we are always stopping the learning process to teach the English language in a English speaking country. Get them out, before all of our kids are held back by them. I could go on and on but i think you get my point. If you dissagree with me please watch the Arizona news tonight and judge for yourself.

Personally, I believe that everyone should be equal. But society will not let that happen. I DO NOT believe that there should be a NAACP or UMOS or United ***** College fund or any other organizations like that. I believe that if you are born in the U.S.A. you are an American. There for,you should have to act like one. As for feeling alienated, Yes I do, Because any other race can go to human services and get food stamps, medical, reduced housing.... But a white person can't go to the groups I listed above to get help with schooling and housing and money. 2 of my children are half Mexican and half Norwegian and I couldn't get help from UMOS or any other group because they are half white. What kind of sh*t it that?

I'm white and live my life as a child of God, a human in this universe . . . my or any other persons color or language is, to me, simply variety. Variety is fun, enriching, beautiful...to be all the same of color, culture, features, language...how boring is that? So, NO...I (a white person) don't feel alienated in America...I'm simply a human being that happens to live in California.
You did not know Spanish as a kid . . . than learn the language. No different than if you saw others that knew how to ride a bike or drive a car and you didn't . . . if you felt ' alienated ' that they did that and you didn't...then you learned. Of course we can't change our color skin, etc...but so what. We are all beautifully UNIQUE and how great is that ! ! !
OF COURSE, I am fully aware of racism and do notice differences in people...Yet, I do (truly) don't understand that in today's CURRENT days of more awareness that people still alienate another because of gender, color etc. It baffles me and makes no sense. Yesterday (generations ago) what then...this is now..I don't understand why people still put down certain races. Of course "embrace your race (culture)...Yet also know that we are all the same...we are all One".

Yeah, I do. And to justify my saying that, yes my ancestors have been "persucted" many more years than the "slaves" Being of scottish, greek and jewish decent..so there :P
But yes, I feel that as a "white" chick, I get denied more things that i really do NEED because I'm not a minority (so I guess that does make me one!) I can't get certain funds for college, because I'm not black or hispanic. Hell, I couldn't even apply for WIC due to my neighborhood and "you don't meet the application critera" (I was a pregnant woman, who just left an abusive marriage..mine you..so all my requirements, money wise, were 'met')
I can't speak freely without someone saying "RACIST" I can't go into certain parts of town, or attend the Indiana black expo, cuz i'm white. (I do enjoy the indiana black expo btw..I just get called a wanna be, racist..blah blah blah) I'm not free to use the N word (although i advocate agaist saying it, because no matter what, er or ah at the end. it's a disrepestful word.)
As to 'justify past wrongs' todays government had NO control over what happened 300 years ago. Sorry. You have to accept history for what it is now. It happened, so what? I don't demand germany or england say their sorry for what happened to my ancestors. And I don't see Japanese people saying they want an apology for what happened to them during WWII. You have to look back at the war that was fought (as slavery wasn't the MAIN issue, but turned out that the end of it was a result) and be thankful for the freedoms you have today.
I was watching The Patriot, and there was a black man fighting in the Malitia, to earn his freedom. Not only did he serve his 12 months to gain freedom as a black man, but he also fought for freedom of ALL men. He didn't care that 'his people' were being forced into slavery, he cared that someday they would be free by taking down England.
So, theres my stance on the whole race issue. I'm n ot a racist, but I feel you should earn your way in todays society, not feed off the top. I don't care if you're white or black, earn your way into college, don't just go because they are filling a quota and your great great great great aunt was a 'slave'. Move forward from the past, and be thankful for the freedoms we ALL have now..
Jupilant_sleep: So what is there is more of us "white" that doesn't mean we can walk around saying whatever it is "we" want. Another other race can call a white man EVERY racist name in the book, and they are excersicing their freedom of speech, but let a white person say "Hey, you're not doing a good job" to a black empoyee, and they and their company are all over the news, saying how much of a racist they are, how they are going to be sued by every black group in America, how they are going to hell and are pretty much ruined. The government has become such a pushover to anyone who is a "minority" which, blacks are no longer btw..you're up their with us white folks, that if anyone of anglo saxon decent (aka white people) do anything to hurt the 'poor minorits' they are horrible and get blacklisted.
Also, in another one of your posts, so you blame slavery on the fact that "alot" of black people are poor? Whatever happened to personal responisblity?? So what you got dealt a sh*tty hand, work with it and get over it. Stop blaming the MAN for all your shortcomings and make life a better place. The reason alot of "ghetto" children keep on living in these hoods and ghettos is because, well they are lazy (not just black people, ANY one who wants to feed off the government) And they think it's a birthright to do so. While us averge joes, who work 50 plus hours a week, get taxed to death by the man (which income tax is ILLEGAL mind you) and have all this money taken out to support an indivudal who thinks "well, because someone in my family, 300 years ago was a slave, i aint gotta work. yeah, i'll stick it the man!" Yeah, just feeding into the steroytype that black people or lazy. Sure, you were poor into a life of pverty, so what? So was I..and you know what, I live in a single income household. I live a decent life raising my son, and my man goes to work everyday to make sure their is a roof over our heads (and guess what..HE'S BLACK! betcha didn't see that one coming) And he supports getting rid of welfare, food stamps, WIC and all these over government programs that people just feed off of. I just can't belive you are going to preach about the inequality of your people and then blame the fact that you were born (or anyone) into a life of poverty, and can't get out of it, because you had a great great great great great great cousin who was a slave. Take your OWN life and mold it your OWN self.

'Justify past wrongs', hmmm whos wrongs, they are not mine, why should I be asked to right wrongs in which I had no hand in and when if anything the history of my ancestors has been one of being persecuted.
Get on with life and look forward, collective reponsibility is an inherently evil doctrine.

They shouldn't! They aren't the minorities and control everything and everyone. They have absolutely no reason to feel alienated. If anything everyone else should feel that way! And this is me being HONEST!
