Iran...Russia...China...who ? are we taking the right measures to protect or kids & family ?

In terms of actual threat right this minute I would say Iran (but they are not actually a huge threat until they develop Nuclear capable Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles). Both of those will take a while. Russia and China in terms of military power dwarf Iran but currently have no intentions of attacking the USA. However Russia has significant biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons but is probably the least threat (but like a responder above said, Putin isnt making things better and almost consolidating power into something more like the USSR right now). China has a massive military and relatively good weapons, also they seem to be advancing their military at an extremely fast pace and their economy is booming. So in the future China could easily be the biggest threat. However this all depends on the direction of Chinese-American and Russian-American relations. Also I dont think North Korea should be left out of this threat situation. So to sum it up I would say North Korea and Iran are the biggest actual threats (but still have a lot of development necessary to pose real danger) and that in terms of military power Russia and China are the biggest threats (but with the way things are currently would never attack the US). Also compared to the current power of the USA none of these countries stand a chance, although a war with China and/or Russia would be extremely violent and certainly require a draft...

Only hindsight will tell.
The measures in place since 9/11 have worked so far. That doesn't mean something won't happen today but at least the USA seems to be proactive rather than reactive.
BTW, there are a number of threat categories. I am assuming you're referring to an armed attack. I suppose you could say our way of life is threatened in a number of ways. Addressing each one individually is probably more appropriate than trying to come up with a one size fits all threat assessment. I think I could make a case for France being a threat if I were given a bit of time.

I think you placed these in the correct order.... Iran, Russia and then China. Russia and China are more rational than Iran. Iran keeps stating that they want to wipe Israel from the map. Iran is also inviting a world war by building up their nuclear facilities and egging the US or Israel to blow them up so that great division will be created against the West. We really have no choice but to take out the nuclear capability and I think the Israeli's are the only ones with balls to do it. This action will have significant sort-term consequences, but will make the world safer long-term.

Muslim terrorists are the biggest threat.
We are trying to take the right measures but liberals think we can fight a PC war and that is not going to happen when the bad guys know that we will run away when it gets tought.
They think in the long term liberals think what about is in front of them.
Exception global warming now that they are 100% sure of with a doubt. Other subjects they don't.
As far as China please read "Jesus in Beijing" you maybe surpised about China.

i think of each and all of the financial subject concerns you point out are the biggest threat to usa at present. and not making use of a solid monetary device, a valid dollar, and a balanced federal funds, there will be no usa.

we've already taken more than enough measures to protect our kids, infact we've taken soo many steps, its infringing on our daily personal freedom.
