"I think women are stronger than men.I make them stronger in my books. The sort of men i like are life's losers. They struggle gallantly, but they ought to be left in peace.Life is just a but too much for them."

From now on no more emotional rhetorics that all went away with King arthur and chivalry.
From now its a war based on hard core facts.
Let the hostilities commence.

I think its pointless to debate with females they will go blind and mad justifying what they know deep inside is wrong.
do wrong because you have been wronged and mydear how can you dicount fitzgerald a pioneer in your feminist movement who planted the germs which are now sprouting in women like you and rio?
And yes i'am a male want me to prove that to you?

To be fair to feminists, I would assume that source is no more than a vocal biased minority. Unfortunately, feminism seems to be riddled we these vocal minorities, and they seem to be the only ones pushing for changes. The rest would probably support the theory and rhetoric but never become actual activists, unlike those that are strongly opinionated and spiteful. If you want to see the extent of it, read the quotes of these influential speakers:

Idiots will always exist in the world. I guess it's our burden to deal with them.
EDIT: People keep posting about how men have the same equivalent. This may be true, but is he allowed to speak in public spheres? In academia? Is he poisoning the minds of children? Can you find ONE that has a high ranking position at a university or government body?
Probably not. The whole point is that these bigots are allowed free reign in our EDUCATION systems and elsewhere and are corrosive in their manners and teachings.

You should read about Mary Daley. She envisioned the perfect society as having as few men as possible, with those that exist being wiped out with abortion/infaticide.
Don't be so surprised, the feminist movement have been sexist for a long time, thank god most women have the decency to just threat men as equal beings. Instead of the US vs THEM mentality.
TO ALEXANDRA: You're right, animal farm is a fantastic book, reminds of a while back on this forum when someone asked if European women were MORE EQUAL than American women. Glad to see you havn't been brainwashed like so many. :D

No its what Penelope Fitzgerald writes about. It may be based on what she think or feels due to what shes seen.
Its not universal among women, anymore than beating ones wife is universal among men. It mentions nothing of good things in your quote for either sex.
Except in one respect, it offers men a way out of responsibility by claiming they ought to be left in peace as they just can't cope. Having seen men almost continuously turn from so many of lifes crises by turning off their emotions, (and even being proud of this) I can understand why she feels this way. I don't however think this could be termed an admirable objective of the feminist movement, its more a sorrow at the masculine method.
Penelope FItzgerald was born in 1916 and died in 2000.
She was English, not American for all the people who would like to see American women killed by Iranian women, what a strange desire to have btw. She was a product of her times, an era when women couldn't inherit or vote or divorce in many parts of the world, she also saw many wars and the damage they inflict on men who could not live up to the myth of the strong, unemotional man.
As to rio, there is nothing wrong with her answer, but why would you think its up to you, presumably a male, to think you could or should have to right to decide if she should be allowed to be near men. Not all of men are afraid of sharing power, not all of them fear a womans equality. Some welcome a true helpmeet and don't need a simpleton to complete them.
You needn't become defensive, I merely offered you a rational explaination to your question. I have no doubt you are male, I don't need you to wave your weenie to 'prove' it, you have done so with your wobbly logic.

Would you say men are for equality and good things after listening to Rush Limbaugh or Pat Robertson? It's easy to find bigots. It's more difficult to realize that each man and woman is unique, with different values and opinions, and that the majority of people are struggling to do what is right for all.

Yes, feminists are for equality. There are extreme cases of everything, but in the grand scheme of things, feminism is about equality. It might be canted in the female direction, but that's only because women were the ones who had/have to be moved up.

So you see her as a representation of all feminists?
Obviously she's a female chauvinist, but then there are male chauvinists who say the same thing just against females, so there is one for each side.

I am a modern female, and being above males is not my objective.
That is one woman's beliefs, just as there is some man who thinks he is above women.
Both genders have differents traits about them. Both provide equally and and are needed in our society.

I was watching a European news program on public television, and the reporter interviewed an Iranian women, asking her about American women. She said that Iranian women would slaughter American women if the opportunities arise. Quite powerful TV journalism. I think those American feminists need to spend time in the real trenches on her road to victory, not the trenches in universities, where many hold high position and esteem and face only competitive academic dangers from other high ranking women.

Live and let live. Why does this quote upset you so? Do you feel inferior compared to women? Relax a bit, make some female friends, and maybe read Tarzan or Superman instead of such upsetting literature.... ;-)
