good point and when we are in need we reach out to anyone to help. However, the rivalry comes about when people are competing for space and resources ... like here in England, where we are crowded together and there isn't enough space to separate us. Look at rats in small cages - it's just animal behaviour to separate into groups and try to drive away the strongest contender for the same space/food, and to eat the weakest! We are not that much different from the animals!
