depends,mostly no,I think it's funny and half of the ppl are out there for just that. If its a really serious question,then I find it rude,but hey,,when your asking questions to ppl all over the world,on any site out there,your putting yourself out there. There will always be a smart*ss wherever you go. Probably on this question,your going to get a lot of smart*ss answers,its all in good fun:)

Yes, the point in yahoo answers is to answer a question, not insult them because they don't know how to spell.

On the other hand the insulters are really just blowing off steam but doesn't feel how the other people would feel. (there is a site called lemon wire)

Sometimes,... But I love getting good answers to my questions, the answers that make sense. I guess, it depends on how you define 'smartassh'.

Yeah especially if it isn't called for.A lot of people just answer questions for points.I wish you could choose who gets points based on the answer they give.

Yes, especially when all you want is a direct answer to the question and not some kind of snide remark at the end to humiliate and insult. ("Yes, that is possible, but I though EVERYONE knew that!")
