Always go for tmobile because it has better coverage in UK than anyother network in UK and it is way better in every way than 3. 3 has a really bad coverage and it is the worst network to go with. They have better contracts to offer (12 month or 18 month) and better choice of pay as you go deals. And if you are thinking of going with 3 then please dont because all they will love to do is to take more and more money of you.

These days there isnt that much difference in network quality and it really depends on what you use (SMS or Voice)
I have been with both, and to be fair, T-Mobile has good customer service (they get hassled cos they have so many calls) and I believe they are all still based in the UK. Some of their centres are outsourced which causes its own problems, but they have four main UK centres which are focused on customer service.
3 on the other hand, all of their centres are abroad, and a total nightmare to communicate with. They are very helpful, but you have to repeat things numerous times. And they seem to have a 'throw money at a problem' policy - ie they will reduce your bills.
3 does have a plus side as they have an excellent WAP site with access to the internet (not sure about T-Mobiles offering, but they charge for wap) the basic stuff on 3 is free and they have 1000's of chargeable content on there.
The covergae isnt really and issue in the Uk - but 3 seem to be ahead in the technology stakes.

As a t-mobile contract holder i would definately say do NOT go for a t-mobile contract. There customer service is terrible they dont offer any help and there coverage is awful.
I have never had a 3 contract but i can honestly say i would rather go with them any day over t-mobile. If you want any more info you can get in touch.

I have been with t-mobile then orange now three and the coverage is excellent, loads of freebies, free msn, good customer services and free to call and they pay you for incomin calls!
3 are much better than they were!! Only network where I can get a signal in my house as well.

T-Mobile - I've been with them for nearly 10 years, & I've never had problems. It doesn't matter if you're pre-pay OR contract, the service is excellent. Check them out at http://www.t-mobile.co.uk

3 - cheap, £5 free downloads per month, and good coverage. They now use 02s coverage, so unlike in the past, there is never a problem.
