we stayed at www.tropicshotel.com ... it is a kind of hostel and we liked it.
when you are not looking for too much luxery and comfort you´ll enjoy your stay there.
it is close to everything (beach, bus, ocean drive, shopping facilities)
they offer single rooms as well as dorms.
we stayed at a 4 bed dorm. it was cleaned every day, you have a pool-area outside and a kitchen. (25 dollar per day)

I don't think there are any inexpensive places in South Beach but you can try this website. They will have a list of all accommodations.

maximum places in Destin, Navarre, citadel Walton coastline or Pensacola could have rooms on your variety available, yet no longer on exertions Day weekend (such as you stated). in case you're prepared to stay approximately half-hour west of Pensacola, in Gulf seashores Alabama, I definitely have a three BR/ 3 BA apartment i will hook you up in for $a hundred/ night min 3 nights.
