Anyone know how to extend a conversation until to the end of the lunch period? Most of our conversation only last like under 2 minutes only. I need help extending the conversation to last at least a long time so I can get to know the person better.

Try to find things in common and build it up on that, it will last a long time if you have the same things in common as you learn more about each other.

Well you can ask questions about the person like;
"Were are you from"
"Whats your favorite movie/song?"
or you can even ask that person to come over to your house and maybe watch there favorite movie and start to get to know that person a bit more. Or you can even ask that person out to dinner or ask that person to come to your house over for dinner.
(Just first ask what type of food do u like and if she/he has allergies to anything)

Get some common ground, like share interests. What kind of music do both of you like, that kind of stuff.
