I can't part with my books, so I am always having new book cases made, and they are soon packed full, from floor to ceiling.

Once you've read your books do you get rid of them, keep the best, or lovingly display all of them?

I can't part with my books either, I keep them all and mostly have to have them in cases so that I can get to them easily, I reread books endlessly or something brings a passage to mind and I have to go and find it and enjoy it again - I don't understand how people manage without books.

I read all the time. I love books and I love reading. Once I finish a good book I pass it on among friends and family. (We all exchange books) Now, I do have some that are my all time favorites that I have in hard back that I treasure and have on the shelf. These books I do not even loan out for fear of them not being returned! Since it is a very rare occasion and I mean really rare that I will reread a book (I don't remember rereading any book except a couple by my favorite authors which sit on my bookshelf) I don't see the need in keeping the books I read.

Now my husband has some books in his stack of books that he has read over and over. He says he finds something new in them all the time. Good for him!

If your reread then great, keep them. If not pass your love of books on to someone else that loves to read and share the joy.

I am like you, except I don't own too many books because I use the library quite often. But the books which I DO own, I keep them forever and never give them away. On occasions, I will lend them to people to borrow but ultimately they are mine to keep, because the ones which I love a lot, I know when I have time, I would like to read them again. =)

I treasure books!
I have four ceiling-to-floor bookcases in my bedroom alone. Its crazy, I know, but books are just...magical. It's like reading the author sometimes. You can learn so much.
I don't buy books that aren't the best. I don't have time for something I am not proud to display in my shelf.

Depends. If I loved the book then I will keep it. But if I don't I usually get rid of it. Also, if the book is really good I will offer it to a friend, then I may never get it back.

I have some books that are very special to me and I wouldn't part with them for all the money in the world, but your basic novel is recycled to my friends, we pass books around then when every ones read them we give them to a charity shop.

I treasure all of my books as well; I've even got more than one copy of some of them because of different printing editions with different covers, some in hardback and in paperback, etc. I very rarely get rid of books, because I love to read and most of my books I've also read several times...I display all of them, and I'm running out of room! :)
