My elder neighbours (1930's) use to tell me what the fall spring and summer would be like form the weather on the last days of February and the first of March but I do not remember the order. Has anyone heard of this before?

There's lots of weather-lore and in respect of short term predictions there's often quite a bit of truth to it but long term predictions aren't reliable.

There's so many things that affect the weather that it can't be accurately predicted in advance. A lot of these tales and sayings are interesting but they're not accurate.
