How much energy is that reaction generating? as opposed to this reaction? well, lets measure it and we will know it with a very good secondary-backup 'proving' called mathematics.

Because precision in science is very important. Imagine a engineer not measuring. The building will fall apart. There is no progress if there is no measuremtn. Science is all about being precise
