If Other people feel the need to join a gang its because they want to belong to something or someone.
Joining begins with a good beating that lasts about 45 seconds.
That means that your 'blooded'
Your Initiated.
'Blood in, blood out'
Then he may be required to show his loyalty by doing a robbery, or beating up an opponent, for example.
But getting out usually means that the hiding you got first time looks like a walk in the park, because 'blood out' means a pretty severe whopping that sometimes leaves the member seriously hurt and can result in his demise.

Initiation rites -- whether for a gang or a fraternity or some other exclusive group -- are required to impress two lessons upon the candidate: first, his position at the bottom of the pecking order; and second, the consequences of not following the party line: "You think THIS is bad? imagine what you'll get if you cross us!"

Boot camp is the military version of initiation rites.

i do no longer understand what that is like now, yet some years in the past I knew a guy who became approximately 20 who have been given jumped customary via fact he would not connect a gang. He'd come residing house from artwork, they might attitude him, he'd refuse and he'd get crushed. They beat him so undesirable his face is completely disfigured, yet he on no account ran or moved away. He stood his floor. i've got no longer seen in him an extremely long term, so i do no longer understand if he finally moved away, or whether he remains alive.

I advise you dont join a gang

Gangs are for people who arent tough enough to sort their problems alone.

initiation or "checking" to see if you are tough and to see how far you are willing to go for the gang if you are willing to get hurt or possibly die also to see if you "punk out" or take it also for the guy that said this process is overblown by the media who the heck did you hear that from it is a real problem way beyond hazing and another guy on here has watched to many gang movies "blood in, blood out" was one movie that portrayed one scenario i have known plenty of ppl in REAL gangs and my brothers best friend was killed by a gang in waco from a person being initiated hows that for overblown

Its an initiation thing...if you get the crap kicked out of you by them and still want to join them it shows a certain loyalty to them...and loyalty in a gang is a very important thing

I am told that this process is way over-blown by the media. I work with a lot of gangbangers.
But I do want to say that it is NO DIFFERENT from the hazing BS that frat brothers put each other through.

Initiation... shows you are tough enough and have loyalty to the gang you are to join.

Initiation rights.

And because if you join a gang, that's what you deserve.

EDIT: I meant "you" in the general sense. Not you personally. :)
