Thanks for all the help today, I'm just not quite following how to do this. Also, my belt came off and I cannot find a diagram. Does anyone know where there would be one online that would tell me how to belt it properly? Thank you.

Depending on the vehicle, there is either a square (usually 3/8 or 1/2) hole for a ratchet or a recess for a wrench on the tensioner arm. Swing the arm to the direction loosening the belt.

I take for granted, You have some tools.
in the center of belt tension-er is a hexagonal head bolt, put a socket (right size) on it and move it to loose the tension on the belt. while You hold it (one hand) install the belt (the other hand)

careful, the bolt tight in counter clockwise
