germainerupert - being a "good woman" goes beyond simply making a living for herself. It's all in her attitude. When I come across women in public, all I see are "mad at the world" attitudes. Just go for a walk and see what I mean! What man in his right mind would want to have a woman like THAT take care of his children? No thanks! I'll opt instead for a Latin American or Eastern European woman with values!

Yes, we do appreciate a good man. Stable, faithful, good with the kids, a good helpmate, in every way.. That's what most of us want. Unfortunately, we normal people do not get any publicity, only the women who associate with the bad boys get publicity. A small percentage of women want danger and excitement in their life. I get enough danger driving to work, and enough excitement just going about my life. Somebody tried to jimmy open my window on my house. Oh boy, danger and excitement! I do not need a man to give me that, I would have liked one to be there to call the cops, and reassure me the perps are not going to try again, later. See, stable, a good helpmate is what is needed.
There is someone for everyone out there, you just have to find them. May I kindly suggest hanging with a different crowd, and seek out those places where women who appreciate the above qualities in a man are found.
May I also suggest, that out in public, a mad at the world face is a good thing. So many bad people out there who try to take advantage of us women, a mean face means "leave me alone, you mugger/pervert/rapist." We try to appear tough.
I'm sorry you feel you have to go abroad to find an appreciate woman. There are many here at home.

Yep. Young woman needs bad boy first.
Women are not held on high, so we do not hold ourselves on high.
Everything is "Blame the mother"-
thanks to Freud and the sun gods.
Women used to be the bearer of all life.
The astronomers, around whom all life-giving agriculture was performed.
Now, women need to do it all to be Supermom,
and then they fall apart and blame themselves.
This is the American legacy.
