My hair used to be thick and glossy when I was younger but, as I have aged, it's gotten thinner and thinner to the point it's baby fine now. I still have lots of hair but it's just very, very fine so I wonder if I took DHEA or hormones or more vitamins would it help?

Try taking Vitamin B complex and Biotin. Be sure to read the label on your Vitamin B complex because it may not have Biotin in it or might have very, very little Biotin. You can't have thick hair without enough Biotin in your system and your body can't use Biotin very well unless you have enough B complex.

#2, if that doesn't work, start taking silica supplements, too. Most Americans don't get enough silica in their diets.

#3, lastly, try collagen supplements. They sell both collagen pills and collagen liquids in most health food stores.

Good luck!

i'm such as you Barbie - high-quality guy or woman hair - yet a thick head of hair. whilst i replace into in basic terms into my Nineteen Forties I grew my hair and observed as quickly as I washed it I lost a lot of bits of hair and concept this transformation into because of the size - I now have a shoulder length 'bob' which provides the visual charm of my hair being thick using good cut back, - yet in actuality it continues to be very high-quality. luckily there are countless good products on the industry which make your hair look thicker than that's from wash to bathe. The atypical gray hair that oftentimes looks seems to be of a distinctive consistency to something of my hair (extra wirey). drugs additionally makes a difference to the condition of your hair (as does ailment and stress).
