UIC has the same requirements as any IL public school. The recommended h.s. courses are 3 years math, 3 years science, 2 years social studies, 4 years english, and some electives.
You can choose either ACT or SAT.

OK, well I've taken the ACTs and the SATs, usually it's more a matter of preference since most schools accept both. I suggest that you take as many hard classes as you can at your school i.e. AP Chemistry, AP Biology-but if your school does not offer APs, it won't be held against you. I'd also advise checking UIC's website to make sure that you're on the right track to fulfilling their requirements i.e. 4 yrs. of math etc. They may also require you to take the SAT subject tests-these are pretty difficult and more knowledge based than the SAT I's. I hope all of this helps.
P.S. I'd highly recommend looking at some pre-college math and science programs-some are free, some are not, but you can either do them this summer, next summer, or both.
