I love Calvin & Hobbes. So does my bf. Got him two C&H books for Christmas

John Calvin = The protestant theologian who promulgated the doctrines of total depravity and predestination.
Thomas Hobbes = The philosopher who demoted the role of Reason in human thought from one of humanity's highest values, to a spy and a schemer in humanity's efforts to get what it wants.
I love these comics; my daughter was crazy about them growing up, and they did a lot for her vocabulary.

How can you not love Calvin and Hobbes! They're great! My daughter now pours over all my Calvin and Hobbes books. They are no longer being written but you can find them online and still buy the books. Check them out! You'll love them.

And a great one. It has always bothered me that Watterson has never allowed it to be marketed (wouldn't you love a Hobbes Tiger plush?), but I understand his reasons for it
