Are you directley affected in your day to day life by slavery? Or is slavery some thing that you never think about unless you are taking an American history class or reading about in the news?

I think it affects many black people today, but I also think it shouldn't have to. I see many people accepting the hand they are dealt as if they have no choice in the matter, just af if they were still slaves. I feel that there are many opportunities available to us who are smart enough to look for them.
I generally only think about slavery every February.

Some today feel that they inherited the suffering of their ancestors. Today the only failure to excel is the fault of the person and not the mean old white devil.

The most important thing to remember is to never forget history no matter how terrible it was. Because to forget is to never have learned from it.

I hate racism

For black people it is very affective, because we worked so hard to get to where we are and no one wants to admitt that we are the strongest people in the world.Could weapons keep us in slavery? NO!
