I have the usb and I have a Gateway2000 computer do you know if it will still work?

The Wii is already configured for wireless access. What you do need is a wireless network configured in the location where you are using the Wii.

if you have an existing Wi-fi connection there is no need to even have the Wii near a computer. The wii is already wifi enabled out of the box, all you have to do is turn the card on in the Wii options.

If you have Windows XP, the Nintendo USB WiFi adapter will work perfectly.
If not, just about any wireless router should work fine.
