You should dress for the trip as comfortably as possible, wear something that's not tight and that you don't have to worry about getting wrinkled or dirty. Take the clothing you are going to use when you give the essay in a garment bag. I would include a change of underwear, deodorant and cologne. if you won't be able to shower, take some wipes to clean yourself off and feel refreshed. (Sorry, I didn't notice if you're a guy or a girl). If you're a girl, take whatever makeup you'll be using, as well as whatever you use to style your hair.
For the trip, take plenty of bottled water and power bars in case you get hungry. Also a jacket or a sweater

Take some money, so you can buy a few things to remind yourself of the trip, orr to give someone when you get back, or to buy postcards and stamps to send home.
Take an umbrella if you think you might be in the rain.
Take a mobile phone that allows you to call somewhere if you get lost
Have a nice trip!
