I know cobalt can be used to color glass, vases and other things, but i need to explain how it's capable to color them, lol i've looked around but havent been able to explain it if you know a web site other than webelements.com it would be greatly appreciated

Hi. It is not the cobalt but cobalt salts that do the coloring. Something like iron oxide is red and copper oxide is green. http://www.inchem.org/documents/iarc/vol52/11-cobaltandcobaltcomp.html
