I find the easist way is to open the PC up and take a stick of RAM out and look at the number written on it. Then go to a computer supply store and give the number to a sales person.

Just make sure you power your PC off before you pull the RAM.

Go to www.crucial.com and follow the directions to scan your system to determine what type of memory you have. This is a free service and you don't have to buy the memory from them. Just write down the information and bring it to the store of your choice. They also have a guide to tell you how to install the new memory.
