You know what? It may very well work. McGahee just needs a good offensive line, which is something he did not have in Buffalo. I think he could really help them. Or, of course, the Giants could pick up Corey Dillon, who has asked to be released by the Patriots.

Nah I don't want hardcore, smashmouth running game. I'm too used to the open breakaway elusiveness of Tiki Barber. There isn't anyone like that in free agency...but I don't want McGahee to take over the running back duties. That guy is a headcase and can't keep his pants closed, apparently. Three different kids with three different women. I can't imagine the damage he would do in the New York City area.

It's too bad Tiki decided to go. He was good. I'm not sold on McGahee. I think the Giants need a John Riggins clone. A big, powerful back that can run over and drag people.

McGahee would work but no way will Buffalo allow him to go to the Giants. I agree They might land a Corey Dillion or Ahman Green. Jacobs wasnt no scrub I think he could start on there team and put up a 1000 yard season.

Yes it will work because the Giants have a running game unlike the Bills who if McGahee stays on he will not be able to reach his maximum potential

I think it could work but I dont know what benefit it would be to buffalo besides getting rid of an unhappy player. Losing him would push them 2 steps backwards. But McGahee would do ok with the Gaints or the same as he did with Buffalo because New York could be looking to the two back system that is so popular today.

The Giants are lucjy here if the Bills release McGahee hell be an awsome asset in their running back stable, he has lots left in his tank and hes the prototype Giants running back, hes fast and strong and wants to win, I hope we get lucky!

They have been talking like they have their guy already...As it stands now, Jacobs will be the starter next season...Whether that will be adequate to keep a running game consistent remains to be seen...Obviously, if they trade for McGahee, that gives them another option and Jacobs and McGahee will settle the starting job in training camp...

well its hard to say man cuz Jacobs was a a big *** back and he would truck over people like a beast but he would not be like that if he started. so i think that Willis is washed up and the Giants need to go for someone in the draft or just look for someone else

I don't think the giants would waste the resources needed to get him. Especially when Jacobs will be a great every down back & what they are going to need is the "back who can catch but can't sustain playing every down" and those are plentiful in FA.
