I liked him in "The Trueman Show". I think the problem is that he has done some crappy roles that have made him seem a poor actor in non-comedy roles. He is actually quite good. My friend loved "The Number 23" but I have not yet seen it. It looks good but not great.

Haven't seen the Number 23 yet, but Carrey's done some serious stuff previously. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was a great film and he was terrific in it. I'm not a fan of his comedy stuff.

My brother and another of our friends saw it a couple days ago and they both said it was worth seeing, though not a Blockbuster. Its gotten bad reviews but Jim Carrey is an amazing actor and I think he could pull it off.
I'm gonna see it.

Entertainment Weekly says it is a rather strained film (they give it a B-), but say Jim does a good job in it
