I saw this story on the news this past week as a possible merger. Are they the only two satellite radio services??

i use sirius right now.

if they want to merge that is fine with me. there are some gadgets that only accept XM that i would like to have and so this would be good for me.

yes, they are the only two satelite radio services. no i dont think it is a monopoly because they would not control all aspects of the business. if someone else wants to start a satelite radio company they can do it. ...just as long as my monthly subscription doesnt go up it doesnt really matter to me, i see it as an advantage.

There ight be more sat radio stations. Even if there were not, it would not make it a monopoly. A monopoly would be this: I own a steel mill. I also own the quarry company that quarry's the steel. I also own a Nail company that uses my steel. I also own the machining company that makes machines for my company to make nails. Understand?
