Let's face it. College basketball is little more than a minor league system that the NBA doesn't have to pay for. MLB and NHL have minor leagues which successfully train players for the pros. Should the NBA set up a minor league system rather than use America's universities to do it?

It's not like the kids stay to graduate anyway. Many of the top players take the minimum number of classes, and some have no business being in college anyway. So why pretend they are student athletes? Let the kids be athletes in the minors.

I didn't know the CBA was affiliated with the NBA. I thought they were independent. I wouldn't really compare the NBADL to, say, the Int'l League in baseball. The NBADL has 12 teams. In baseball, each team has at least four minor league teams, and in hockey, each team has at least one.
