error calculations?

Question

in a table of results i have columns of mass, tension, possible minimum mass, possible maximum mass, possible minimum tension, possible maximum tension, negative errors of tension and positive errors of tension. however i cant work out how to get the negativ and positive errors of tension. any help? thanks

I'm assuming you mean percent error...forgive me if I am mistaken. For calculating percent error you need 2 values: actual value and measured values. With that info, you can use this formula:

100(mA - mE)/mA

where mA is the actual measurement and mE is experimental measurement.
