What did your area get? We got snow, sleet, and a lot of ice. My kid's school dance was cancelled last night and I saw on tv that a lot of area functions, including church services, were cancelled for today. What about you?

After all the hype on tv all week, we got zippo. Well, I guess you could call it a light dusting but not even enough to have to clean the windshield this morning. That's in Topeka. I guess Western KS got blasted and my daughter in Lincoln, NE really took a beating. She said that it was snowing sideways and she got turned around and lost taking my grand to her friend's house 6 blocks away because you couldn't see the houses or streetsigns. I love snow so I'm pretty bummed as they started out early week saying maybe a foot for our area. We were also supposed to have severe thunderstorms before the cold front hit and they went north of here so it's been a pretty quiet weekend.

We started with rain/sleet, then ice all day, then snow. We had a lot of powerlines down and the roads were/are awful. We were lucky though our power just blinked a lot, two blocks over they were out of power for 4 hours. It's mild and melting slow right now. I'm in southeast Iowa.

No such options is offered, because there aren't any production electric powered autos. The Tesla received this year's Vaporware award for no longer present outdoors of advertisments, and there have not been any others. There probable is actual no longer any, both: the commercial gadget isn't probable to help fairly some experimental vehicles contained in the subsequent couple of years. you also might want to wish to imagine about the heater. The GM EV1 had a warmth pump that fairly pulled battery means, it truly is one reason they purely leased the motorcar in southern California. previous that, an electric powered might want to probable deal with as well as any vehicle in icy situations; the battery might want to be highly sluggish lower than 20 degrees or so yet might want to warmth up in use. Even electrics are extra useful than hydrogen autos, because no one's determined merely the position the hydrogen is meant to come back from (there aren't any hydrogen wells.) if you're counting all of your enormous money mark downs from electric powered autos, evaluate that they want roads, and therefore the states are going to might want to start up assessing highway taxes from them. probable there'll be an odometer that would want to be study with an RFID wand, like that on your water meter. then you fairly receives a outstanding bill contained in the mail, and it truly is actual no longer lower priced: evaluate the share of the fee of gas that incorporates taxes.

I got frozen rain last night when i got out of the movies and instead of taking the highway home b/c it was full of traffic and accidents were occurring, I took the back roads. It was slick all over. It's still raining now but I think its just regular rain. It looks like some ice has melted but not a lot. NW Indiana.

I'm off to check the weather now. Here in upstate NY, we really don't need another storm. Ice on top of the mounds of leftover snow would be a disaster. I haven't seen my yard since mid January.

Stay safe!

We got a good coating of ice in Medina County Ohio.
The power went out for a few seconds around 6:30AM right when I was changing my name here. I think somebody must have ran into a power pole.
It's 36F now and raining. Hopefully the rain will melt the ice.

We were supposed to get it here in Ontario. They've been warning us about it since Wednesday. I woke up to gray skies but we got nothing yet. I hope it misses us. I have a rather important interview tomorrow during the afternoon rush hour and don't want to have to camp overnight to be on time.
