Yes this is possible, the two possible ways are:

1) If your laptop has an S-video-out connector, then you can achieve your goal by just buying an S-video lead and then connecting your laptop to your PC- The image of your PC should switch to your TV quite easily.

2) If your laptop does not have an S-video out, then you will need a 'PC to Laptop' converter.

This is a link to the most commonly available one, be sure to check out the FAQ's which are very helpful:

However, if I were you I would simply buy a DVD player as it will produce a much more superior picture, a gazillion times better than connecting your laptop to your TV. Also you can pick up good DVD players for peanuts these days.

The problem with converting your PC video output to your TV is that the image looks all wrong, it will look blurry. This is due to the fact the TV cannot handle the advanced resolution of the PC output- Granted this can be tweaked, but you'll still end up with a not-so-great picture.

Good luck

Hi. If your laptop has an "S-video" port (some do) just run a cable. This is video only. Sound would have to come from a jack such as the headphone jack and be connected to your stereo.

If you don't have a TV exit on your laptop, there are PC-to-TV adapters, but they are rare and expensive. Do try a Web search, though.
