It would have to be Dame Helen Mirren for her role in the Queen. Sadly, Kate Winslet would have to wait another year for her oscar as she is such a brilliant actress.

My guess is Helen Mirren even though I never saw Elizabeth I. She is a great actress and out of the nominees the most deserving.

It really should be Judi Dench. Her nominated performance is absolutely magic! Helen Mirren will probably win because she's portraying a real person which always suckers in the judges for some reason.

It would be great to see Helen Mirren win. She seems like such a genuine person who would be truly flattered if she won, unlike some actresses who when they win can't be bothered to turn up to accept it !!!!!
