hi,i asked this question 5 months ago when i downloaded the beta build(5600) and dual booted on my p.c with windows xp
the answer basically is you need to use a ethernet connection as you wont need any bt software to use the internet this way,the drivers that come with bt total broadband are for users with a u.s.b connection
i have been in touch with bt on several occasions reference the production of vista drivers and they have told me they would be released mid march 2007,but dont quote me on this(you know what bt are like)
but with regards to your monthly charges ,bt,s answer would be you are paying for the broadband connection, its down to you what o/s you install on your p.c
however i agree,a multi-national company like bt should have made drivers for vista while the beta was out,so they would have propr drivers ready for when vista was finally released
all i can recommend is ,keep on at b.t and so will i and sooner or later ,drivers will be released
for lots of extra info about vista compatibility with bt broadband look at this...http://bt.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/bt.cfg/php/enduser/cci/bt_catpage.php?p_sid=kIhcE7vi&cat_lvl1=346&cat_lvl2=401&cat_lvl3=402&cat_lvl4=1179&p_cv=4.1179&p_cats=346,401,402,1179
good luck

If you're asking if Vista is compatible with BT Broadband, it probably is, but you should really call BT and check that it is, BEFORE plugging it in!!
