I would suggest a sunless tanning solution. I have personnaly used those spray on tans. They don't look "perfect", but they get the job done and look pretty damn good.

There are some nice sunless tanning lotions coming out now, that do not make your skin orange. A trick to use is to mist yourself while in the sun with dark tea. Mix 2 to 3 cups of dark, dark brewed tea, really let the tea steep til it is almost as dark and strong looking as a cup of coffee. Pour into pump sprayer which you can buy at a dollar store, or less at a grocery store. Mist it on when at the beach or stretched out in the backyard in the sun, the combo of water and sun, and the stain from the tea will darken your skin fairly quickly. Be careful not to remain out in the hot sun too long, half an hour a side, then quit for the day. Tanning should be done a little at a time and once you have the tone you like, you can maintain it the same way. To put beautiful streaks of sun in your hair, use lemon juice (unsweetened) the same way, spray into your hair and fan your hair out or tousel your hair to maximize sun exposure onto the hair.

Don't you know the sun is bad for you? Tanning spas are dangerous deadly.
Get a good bronzing makeup or professional artificial tan. (Ask for help in a department store makeup department.
Wear bright shirts. Play up your fair skin. You'll be glad you did, when you're old and wrinkle-free.

theres there are cream products like jergens gradual tan moisterizer. it's not like a fake tan type of cream. its helpful to dry skin, protects your skin from the sun AND adds a gradual tan that doesnt look fake at all. and for your face theres a face cream too instead of a body one.

you should try tanning sprays or self tanning lotions.. for face, try a gradual self tanning lotion so you can control how much you want to tan.. (try Jergens's self tanning lotion for face).. for body, spray is quick.. but you might get streaks.. so if you don't need the tan in a rush, you can use the gradual tanning lotions too (try neutrogena's one..sunless tan)
