My friend started riding a gz250 2 years ago and loves the bike and cant afford to upgrade anyway. I am looking for any ways to get more speed and power out of this little bike without spending a fortune. I have ordered sprokets, one tooth bigger front and 1 smaller for the rear. Any other ideas out there?

If the bike is already capable of your countries maximum speed limit, further modification for increased speed is unnecessary and potentially illegal if used on public roads.

After a sprocket change the only other changes that come to mind would be different exhaust and air box mods if availible for the 250.

Buy a bigger machine, or put a slightly hotter cam in the GS-250.

ur solution may have issues with torque when the wind is against u. but nothing like trying to experiment. another solution is to try different tires....but $$$$ will get in the way
