A 16 Year-ol Boy, was killed in Atlanta, Friday. A senseless, Drive-by shooting. all because of Gang Violence. But we're not hearing, ANY Political of Civil Leaders, doing anything about the random acts of killing Innocent, CHILDREN!! But yet, they grab a microphone, and blame Our President, for having Our Brave Soldiers, fight in the War on Terrior! Those Brave Americans, volunteered to protect us. These Children are innocent. And no one speaks up for them! Maybe it's because that kind of talk, wouldn't get `em Elected? Or be given Donations, to their Organizatons? When is America gonna wake up from what is real in this World? And see why we're being bombarded, by useless, and mean-spirted Name-Calling. All for the sake of Political of Economical Gains? That's my Opinion. I except yours!

I was talking with my wife about this stuff the other day. You see on tv how the whole time we have been in Iraq we have lost 3000+ troops. Thats what, a total of 5 years in Iraq. So that is 600 troups a year. Each year there are over 30,000 gun related deaths in he U.S.. You are right. The troups signed up for it(I am not saying they deserve it). They are brave and courageous. These young men and women who did not though. Who die from gang violence and drugs. Something HAS to be done! The war on terror needs to be won on our homelad before it can be taken elsewhere....

What does one thing have to do with the other? Are you somehow suggesting that there are not politicians who capitalize on crime and violence in the US? They capitalize on any fear that they can. Would it be better if that 16 yr old survived 2 more years so that he could go to Iraq and be killed or maimed as some 25,000 US Soldiers and many more Iraqis have? We should strive to reduce senseless killing at home and abroad.

I agree our politicians have it all messed up. They only say what they think we want to hear anyways, and unfortunately children dying isn't at the top of their list. There are lots of things that should be and aren't. But I am offended by your comment of the soldiers. My younger brother being one sent out. Have you read the names and ages of those lost in this war? A few in their 40's, and the rest 18 to early 20's. If we were truly fighting a war on terror, this wouldn't make me so angry, but we are fighting a war simply because Bush wanted to finish what daddy started, and used any excuse he could to do it. We are fighting a war on Iraqi terror, not Americas. Don't confuse the two. If we were fighting a war on terror in America, your issue would be addressed as it should be, Osama would be long dead, illegal immigrants would be shipped out of here by the plane or bus load daily until we know exactly who is in this country, and why. America doesn't need to wake up, our politicians do!!

So, you've noticed a "slight" bias in the media presentation of events? Is your title supposed to be your question? Yep, it's murder, but it's not so simple. You have people having babies who can't support themselves and can barely read. They expect and demand that the government take care of them and their stupid mistakes and refuse to be held accountable for all of their bad decision making. How many "minority" democrats do you suppose would continue to support that part if they knew that Lincoln was a republican -- very much hated as president? People don't want to be told that what they're doing is wrong. They want your sympathy, they want your money, but they refuse to recognize their mistakes, learn from them and try and do better. The 16 year old shot and killed is a tragedy, but the crime was committed by the parents of the gang members and as such, they need to be held just as accountable as does the one who pulled the trigger.

killing another human is not a problem - as long as you follow public opinion - Public opinion allows for killing millions of people and makes federal cases out of just one life. Perhaps our religious doctrines and government philosophies are made up of people we need protection from. Why does the US have to play superman in the mid-east, let France do that. Lets pull out of Korea and let them duke it out or let japan be mighty mouse. Still wish we saw people jumping from the world trade center so maybe some CA officials would call for A-bombing the Pakistan / Afghanistan border - make it into a sheet of glass until the Muslim terrorist give up Benny boy. then behead Ben with a dull knife. I say chuck a nuke every 72 hours over there and if one bomb miss it's target and hit Iran - say we are sorry.

I think I agree with you. But there is nothing to gain politicaly by bringing up the innocent people who are killed by gang violence/drive-by shootings. At least until they want to bring up "tougher" gun control laws.

Of course one why to reduce violence on the street, (and yes I know people with disagree or hate me for saying this) is to abolish ALL drug laws.

A driveby shooting is murder. I hope the murderer is found and convicted.

No need to blame George Bush for it.
