The first time I heard it, it was being played live at Madison Square Garden, By Led Zeppelin of course. The song had not been released yet. I think it was 1970,and I think it was Zeppelins debut concert to the USA. They only had Zeppelin 1, and Zeppelin 2 out. ..What a show it was, I was 16 yo. And actually had gotten on stage, along with a grip of other people. Cuz Plant would encourage you to climb up on stage with him. Back then you could do that. It was completely freaky wild. The front part of the stage actually collapsed. Because there was so many people on it, bouncing up and down. Zeppelin was safe on the back half of it. But when it finally gave... there was allot of people hurt. And the band just kept on playing. I think we were tripping at that show too. Yes we were....Sunshine..:-)

When I was about 14, I was home sick from school for about a week and just listening to music to pass the time. I came across my mom's old album collection and the cover art on the Led Zeppelin album got my attention (that very cool drawing of an old man atop a rocky mountain) .. I listened to the album and especially that song. That was it for me!

By the O'Jays? By Neil Sedaka or by Led Zeppelin. Three different songs that all share the same title. Zeppelin version I first heard in 1972 at my friends house. I was 11 and his older brother had the album. Thought it was really cool.

Over 30yrs ago, by Zeppelin, I was about 12 and my brother used to play the death out of it. I didn't really like it much then but appreciate that version more now. Especially as some people have put out some very bad versions of it. Like Rolf Harris!!

Can't quite remember... All I know is I always heard people raving about it so I decided to download it. It took a few plays to grow on me but I got to love it later. Still, it's not the best rock song ever...hell, it ain't even the best Led Zepplin song. Great song, but HIGHLY overrated.

It was 1971 and I was a young girl in my teens...it was a magical time of Make Love not War....I loved the song then, now I tire of hearing it. It's sadly been overdone....

No, I was with a young man and I thought I was in love with him.
He wasn't...
I never think about him, except just now as you ask.
So it is a forgot unforgettable event...
Or reverse.
